An intensive study of one the most creative and potent aspects of our method: Individualizing lessons

Whether we’re working with ATM, FI, or a blend of the two, we have the greatest ability to connect with a client and make a difference to them when the lesson addresses their unique needs.

The Tailor-Made Functional Integration® Lesson

In order to be effective in creating meaningful Functional Integration lessons for our students, we compose the process uniquely and improvisationally during each session. This is both the most potent aspect of our lessons and the most elusive. What are we doing when we compose a lesson in-the-moment?

This in-person advanced training will address this important area of our work directly by helping practitioners build capacities in areas essential to flexible lesson-making:

  • Acute observation
  • Truly open-ended hypothesizing
  • Comfort with not-knowing
  • Identifying emergent patterns
  • Surfing surprises and seeming obstacles
  • Being a truly responsive partner in a duet with your student

The workshop is open to practitioners and trainees who have completed two years of training. Recent grads will get a lift over the how-do-I-do-this?! hump that can happen after finishing your training; seasoned practitioners will deepen and clarify some murky waters you are already swimming in.
